Nominations shall be made on official nomination forms and submitted to the Selection Committee Chair by the governing body of the particular sport or by an individual, and contain the fullest possible data concerning the record and merits of each candidate. All nominations submitted will be considered for election in the year nominated and succeeding years. Nominations forms of nominees not elected to the Hall after being considered for five (5) years may be placed in an inactive file at the discretion of the Selection Committee upon the request of a Committee member.
