i. All candidates must have attained local, provincial, national or international recognition in their sport. ii. All candidates must have been a permanent resident of Collingwood and District at the time of his/her accomplishments Or been a permanent resident and graduate of a Collingwood and District Minor Sports Programs Or consideration shall be given to a part-time resident who, while participating as a member of a Collingwood Sports Club/Team has attained an outstanding achievement as noted in subsection i. iii. Candidates for election shall be chosen on the basis of playing ability, sportsmanship, character, their contribution to their particular sport, the honour brought to Collingwood and to sport generally.
